While writing my memoir, You’re Too Young to Understand, I dreamed that it would touch one person in a way that really mattered.

Since its release, I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people who have shared their own stories with me. Readers reach out in the spirit of gratitude, commiseration, and joy — all about the understanding that our childhoods, our lives, have been complicated or wretched yet we can seek to understand, forgive, and thrive nonetheless.
