Liz Sjaastad is an author, mental health advocate, and president of NAMI Ramsey County. memoir, You’re Too Young to Understand, explores what it means to grow up in a family shaped by mental illness, addiction, silence, resilience, and love.
Through personal storytelling and honest reflection, Liz speaks about the impact of mental illness on families, the stigma that keeps people isolated, and the complicated process of understanding and forgiving the people who shaped us.
